My Sashiko is an online shop for sashiko embroidery and visible mending supplies for customers in the United States.

What we do

We bring together kits, thread, needles, stencils and fabric for people who want to try sashiko or mend their clothes in a way that shows. Alongside the shop we publish free beginner guides, written to make the first steps feel approachable.

How our products reach you

Our products are made and shipped by independent suppliers, and orders are sent to you directly from them. Because of this, items from different suppliers may arrive in separate packages. We confirm each product’s contents and details before offering it for sale, and we list exactly what is included on every product page.

A note on tradition

Sashiko has deep roots in Japanese textile history. We are a supply shop, not a school or a Japanese maker, and we try to describe the craft accurately and respectfully. Our guides point to the history and to the many skilled practitioners and teachers who share their knowledge.
